Councils of the Whistling Elk
Information about the Councils
Councils are a result of the many Shamanic training events led by Lynn Andrews over the years. Councils come together to share in the Sacred tasks and Teachings created by Lynn and the Sisterhood of the Shields, providing us with the Sacred space and opportunity to explore our Shaman selves in deep and often profound ways.
Councils gather together and share the Teachings of the Sisterhood of the Shields. We hold sacred space for each other. We do ceremony together and support each other in bringing our tools into our daily lives such as our drums, rattles, sacred art and more.
Each meeting is different and each Council is different as they develop their own paths through the Teachings. They are an opportunity to meet and study with others in your area interested in these shamanic teachings.

Canada - MDT
NEW! The Council of the Giant Cedars in Canada, meets virtually every two weeks. Next Meeting is Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 7:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time.
National Council Directory (USA)
California - Pacific Standard Time
East Bay Council meets a few times each year.
Eastern Sierra Council (Owens Valley) meets during the summer only.
Free Spirits Council in Jackson, CA meets the second Sunday of every month at 1:00 PM. Next Council meeting is April 14, 2024.
Sacred Wisdom Cyber Council meets virtually starting in January 2024.
Florida - Eastern Standard Time
Miami Council of the Whistling Elk meets monthly. Every other month is a Virtual Council meeting. April 2024 will be a Face to Face Council meeting. May will be a Virtual Meeting.
* You do not have to live in Miami to attend to our Virtual Council every other month.
Painted Pony Council in Ocala meets on the last Friday every other month. Next council meeting is May 31, 2024.
New Hampshire - Eastern Standard Time
NEW! Sacred Teachings of the Whistling Elk meets Virtually 3rd Sunday of the month from 6:00 PM. Next Council Meeting is April 21, 2024.
Massachusetts - Eastern Standard Time
The Butterfly Council in Boston meets monthly.
We usually do our act of Power every spring it is always one of the most attended. The directions are in the book Teachings Around the Sacred Wheel. We do modify it a bit as we do it inside as group . And sometimes we use a pot of soil to plant our life arrow. Some of us take our life arrow out into the world and plant it alone afterwards. I have put mine in a fast flowing river to speed things along when in need.
Michigan - Eastern Standard Time
Ancient Wisdom Council in Sterling Heights meets every Full moon: Apr 23, May 23, Jun 21, Jul 21, Aug 19, Sep 17, Oct 17, Nov 15, & Dec 15, 2024.
Virtual Councils
Sacred Wisdom Cyber Council will begin meeting monthly again in January 2024. (Pacific Standard Time)
Virtual Mystical Council meets every 3 weeks on Sundays. (Eastern Standard Time)
